We're just weeks away from the 2025 Iber Cup, and I’m feeling focused. Training has stepped up a notch, with more tactical drills and match simulations. I’ve been reviewing my old performances and noting what to improve. I want to go to this tournament and be even better than last year.
I turned 10 on February 17, and we celebrated with a friendly match, cake, and a mini shootout challenge with friends. My parents surprised me with a signed football and a video message from my favorite coach. I'm now in double digits — let’s make this year count even more..
New year, new mindset! I’ve written down my football goals for 2025: Keep 15 clean sheets Score at least 3 goals from set-pieces Improve my weak foot passing Lead my team to another trophy I’m excited and ready. Let’s get to work!smarter, stronger, and more vocal on the field..
We were crowned King of the Court Champions (U10) this month. It was a tough mini-tournament, but we stayed strong and united. I was named Defensive MVP, which made me super proud. Playing in tight spaces has really improved my ball control and decision-making.
What a year it has been! From winning the Iber Cup to ELFA and King of the Court, this year has made me stronger mentally and physically. I’ve grown as a leader, made new friends, and taken my defending game to another level. Thank you to everyone who’s part of my journey.
I look up to defenders like Raphaël Varane, Rúben Dias, and Thilo Kehrer. They combine brains and bravery — that’s the kind of player I want to be. I also love watching videos on Soccer Skills U10 on YouTube to learn new tricks and defensive techniques - Dear teammates. 2025, let’s go!..
This month, I went to watch Bafana Bafana live at FNB Stadium. It was an unforgettable experience. Seeing top defenders live made me dream even bigger. I paid close attention to how they move, communicate, and stay focused. My dream? To one day wear the green and gold jersey too..
Balancing schoolwork and football isn’t easy, but I’ve learned how to manage time. I complete homework before training and use weekends to revise. Discipline is key. My teachers are supportive, especially when I have tournaments. I’m proud of my last report card — math!!.
This month, we conquered the ELFA Tournament (U10) — what a battle it was! We stayed unbeaten throughout and kept four clean sheets in five matches. As a defender, that’s a dream. One coach from another academy even told me, “You defend like a mini Bonucci.” That made my day! This and more motivates me to keep pushing harder every day.
I often get asked how I manage to train almost every day. The answer? I love it. My schedule includes speed drills, defensive positioning, passing under pressure, and strength work. Training with older players at times has helped sharpen my game. Shoutout to my coaches at Super Sport — they believe in developing us like future pros.
Last weekend’s Super League game was intense! We won 3-1, and guess what? I scored my first goal of the season — a powerful header from a corner. It reminded me of watching Virgil van Dijk highlights and dreaming about doing the same. My coaches have always encouraged me to be brave during set-pieces, and this time, it paid off big time. More to come!.
The year has started with energy and fire! I’m proud to share that my team, Super Sport Academy U9, lifted the Iber Cup Gold Trophy earlier this year. Competing against top academies from across the country was no joke, but we fought like warriors. Playing as the central defender, I focused on organizing the backline and clearing threats.
